Job summary

Baltimore County Public Schools seeks a skilled supervisor to lead custodial services in a level two facility, overseeing boilers, HVAC equipment, and routine maintenance. You will coordinate shifts, inspect work, and ensure safety and compliance across the site.

The role requires experience in building services and leadership, with a preferred stationary engineer license. Strong organizational and communication skills are essential for successful performance in this on-site position.

Qualifications

• Possession of a high school diploma or an appropriate equivalent.
• Two years of increasingly responsible building services experience.
• One year’s experience as supervisor, assistant supervisor, and/or lead worker.
• Note: Other combinations of applicable education, training, and experience that provide the knowledge and skills necessary to effectively perform the duties of the class may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Assigns, reviews, leads, and coordinates the activities of building service workers. Develops and adjusts work schedules.
• Operates and oversees HVAC equipment and inspects boiler settings and gauges.
• Performs preventive maintenance and makes minor repairs and adjustments to equipment.
• Responds to requests from school administrators and faculty for custodial services.
• Conducts meetings with custodial staff and completes accident reports.
• Inspects facility safety, sanitation and security standards.
