Job summary

Baltimore County Public Schools is seeking a Custodian Supervisor to lead building service workers, oversee custodial operations, and maintain HVAC systems in a level two facility.

Responsibilities include scheduling, inspections, minor repairs, safety compliance, and coordinating with administrators for events. Candidates should have a high school diploma, 2+ years building services experience, and 1 year supervisory experience; a stationary engineer license is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Two years of progressively responsible building services experience.
• One year of supervisory/lead worker experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the activities of building service workers and set work schedules.
• Operate and oversee HVAC equipment including boilers, air handling units, and related systems; keep inspection records.
• Respond to custodial requests from administrators and faculty; plan for events with staff.
• Maintain safety, sanitary, and security standards; inspect doors/windows and perform minor repairs.
• Prepare work orders and assist in moves of furniture/equipment; manage supplies and cleaning stock.
