Job summary

Garver's Buildings Group in Denver, Colorado seeks a Mechanical Engineer - Buildings to lead the design and commissioning of building mechanical systems including HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection. You will collaborate across disciplines, coordinate with Garver offices, mentor staff, and help manage project budgets and schedules throughout the design and construction phases.

The role requires a ABET-accredited degree, FE certification, 5–10 years of building design experience, and proficiency

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited degree required in mechanical or architectural engineering.
• FE exam passed ( Fundamentals of Engineering ).
• 5–10 years of building design and construction experience.
• Knowledge of building mechanical systems: HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection.
• Experience overseeing mechanical designs and detailed plans.
• Proficiency with Autodesk Revit and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, design, and commissioning of building mechanical systems.
• Coordinate with other disciplines and Garver regional offices.
• Assist project managers in managing project scope, budget, and schedule.
• Develop construction drawings using BIM software.
• Travel periodically to project sites as required.
