Job summary

LAUKOA seeks an Engineering Technician to support the 99th Readiness Division Directorate of Public Works with multi-faceted base operations and sustainment programs at Fort Dix, NJ. The role focuses on technical design for facility repairs and upgrades, ensuring compliance with federal and state standards and energy efficiency.

You will collaborate with DPW and field teams to draft technical project documents, perform costEstimations using RSMeans, and travel as needed for facility evaluations.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access).
• Experience in technical writing for building/construction projects.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in project development or equivalent.
• Experience developing cost estimates using RSMeans and other data sources.

Responsibilities

• Provide project designs for facility repair and upgrade projects and review designs for conformance with industry practices.
• Collaborate with Dawson leadership, DPW leadership and field teams to plan and develop technical project documents.
• Devise approaches to accomplish work and resolve design/operational problems; document in a work specification.
• Travel to sites as required to conduct facility evaluations.
• Support development of project cost estimates and prepare cost-related documents.
