Job summary

Thomas Young Group in Dallas is seeking an experienced building envelope consultant to lead projects across commercial, residential and institutional sectors. You'll perform condition assessments, leak investigations, and forensic evaluations, and review drawings for performance and constructability.

You will mentor junior staff, coordinate with owners, architects and contractors, and contribute to business growth while advancing toward leadership roles.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in building envelope or enclosure consulting.
• Strong communication skills and client facing experience.
• Experience across roofing, waterproofing, facades, curtain wall, and air or water barriers.
• Background in investigations, assessments, and remediation work.
• PE or RA license preferred or working toward it.

Responsibilities

• Leading building envelope projects across a range of sectors.
• Carrying out condition assessments, leak investigations, and forensic evaluations.
• Reviewing drawings and specifications for performance and constructability.
• Attending site visits and carrying out quality assurance inspections.
• Preparing technical reports, recommendations, and client presentations.
• Working closely with owners, architects, and contractors.
• Supporting projects across multiple locations when needed.
• Mentoring junior team members and contributing to team growth.
