A leading construction firm is seeking a Senior Building Envelope Consultant to lead projects for new and existing buildings across the United States. This role will manage projects, provide technical expertise in building enclosure, and serve as the primary client contact. The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of experience in building envelope construction and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of building envelope construction and consulting experience.
• 5+ years managing projects.
• Licensed Architect, Civil, or Structural Engineer preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage building envelope projects from investigation to construction administration.
• Perform condition assessments and forensic investigations.
• Conduct design reviews for constructability, durability, and waterproofing.
• Oversee enclosure testing activities and perform testing when needed.
• Serve as the primary client contact, writing proposals, and managing project scopes and service fees.
• Coordinate with contractors, specialists, and clients, attending meetings and conferences as necessary.

Principal Consultant - Building Diagnostics & Structural Engineering

We are seeking a full-time Senior Building Envelope Consultant to lead building enclosure and waterproofing projects for new and existing buildings across the US. This senior-level role will manage projects, provide technical expertise, and serve as the primary client contact. Responsibilities include conducting enclosure analysis, design reviews, forensic investigations, and overseeing construction documentation and field testing.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage building envelope projects from investigation to construction administration.
• Perform condition assessments and forensic investigations using non-destructive and destructive testing.
• Conduct design reviews for constructability, durability, and waterproofing of foundation systems, walls, façades, and roofing assemblies.
• Oversee enclosure testing activities and perform testing when needed.
• Serve as the primary client contact, writing proposals, and managing project scopes and service fees.
• Coordinate with contractors, specialists, and clients, attending meetings and conferences as necessary.

Qualifications and Competencies

• Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Civil/Structural Engineering, or Construction Management.
• 10+ years of building envelope construction and consulting experience, including 5+ years managing projects.
• Licensed Architect, Civil, or Structural Engineer preferred.
• Strong knowledge of building enclosure systems, waterproofing, and construction standards (ASTM & AAMA).
• Experience developing construction documents, technical specifications, and inspection reports.
• Excellent communication and client management skills.
• Credentials in roofing and building enclosure systems are a plus.
