LVI Associates in New York is seeking an experienced Building Envelope / Façade Engineer to lead inspection, restoration, and enclosure consulting for existing buildings. You will supervise rope-access inspection projects, coordinate safety programs, and provide technical oversight on design development and façade performance.

Ideal candidates bring 8+ years in building envelope or restoration work, SPRAT (or equivalent) certification, and a strong ability to interpret architectural drawings.

Competenze

• 8+ years of experience in building envelope, façade, or restoration projects.
• Proven experience with industrial rope access preferred.
• SPRAT certification (preferred).
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture or Engineering.
• Licensed Architect or Professional Engineer preferred.
• Strong understanding of architectural systems, design principles, and local building codes.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and construction drawings.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with technical report writing and standard office software.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

• Support the management and growth of façade inspection and safety-related services.
• Lead and manage a team of industrial rope access inspectors and façade inspection projects.
• Perform periodic rope-access inspections as part of ongoing responsibilities.
• Forensic investigation and condition assessments.
• Repair design development and detailing.
• Preparation of bid documentation.
• Construction phase support and administration.
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of exterior wall and enclosure systems.
• Collaborate with internal teams on proposal development, budget tracking, project planning and resource coordination.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients, consultants, and project stakeholders.
• Advise architects and owners on building enclosure performance, durability, constructability, and compliance.
• Maintain clear, well-written technical reports documenting inspection findings and project activity.
• Manage project schedules, deliverables, and quality standards.
• Review and oversee restoration staff reports and project progress.
• Assist with staff resourcing, technical initiatives, and division-level planning.
• Support training, mentoring, and professional development of junior staff.
• Occasionally prepare and present technical papers or case studies.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
