EMCOR Government Services is seeking a Building Engineer for the Stanford Healthcare Center in the Redwood City/ Peninsula, CA area. EMCOR Government Services has an immediate need for a Building Engineer at Stanford Healthcare Center in the Redwood City / Peninsula, CA area. Responsible for the operation, replacement, repair, and maintenance of building‑related mechanical, electrical, control systems, plumbing, air handling units, pumps, heat exchangers, expansion joints, and other building mechanical systems. Work involves lifting heavy mechanical equipment and apparatus, and may be performed in areas of extreme heat or cold. Receives and responds to service calls, taking immediate action to resolve emergency situations or system breakdowns.
Physical requirements: In an 8‑hour day, must be able to continually bend, squat, kneel, lift, twist, climb, reach, stand and walk; use hands for repetitive pushing, pulling and single grasp motion; and frequently lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds and move objects in excess of 100 pounds, and travel by government or company vehicle to work location or other destinations as required.
