Job summary
Johnson Controls in the United States seeks a skilled Controls Technician to perform preventive maintenance, repair, installation, and commissioning of building control systems on client sites. You will troubleshoot complex control systems, mentor junior technicians, and provide field proposals to improve building performance.
With strong knowledge of HVAC and building automation, you will consult customers, deliver training, and ensure safety and high customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Six years of commercial controls troubleshooting experience in the HVAC industry.
- Technical training from Vocational School or an associate degree in a technical field.
- Ability to install and service electronic control systems and HVAC equipment.
- Effective communication and writing skills.
- Knowledge of control theory and building automation systems.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance, repair, installation, and commissioning of building control systems.
- Mentor technicians and document project work.
- Provide field proposals and technical recommendations for retrofits.
- Ensure high customer satisfaction and safety compliance.
- Communicate with customers on site and upsell add-on work.
