Job summary

Civicworks is seeking a Building Construction Program Manager 2 to oversee medium-sized and complex projects for New York State facilities under the NY HELPS program. Based in Staten Island with substantial state-wide travel, you will supervise consultant contracts and support higher-level staff on complex initiatives.

The ideal candidate has seven years of multi-trade construction experience and a strong background in planning, scheduling, and cost estimation.

Qualifications

• Seven years of experience in multi-trade building construction.
• Experience managing responsibility for three or more areas: construction planning, coordination of trades, cost estimating, project scheduling, material purchasing, or resource management.
• Valid New York State Driver's License or demonstrated capacity to meet transportation needs.
• Related degree may substitute for experience (Associate: 2 years, Bachelor: 4 years, Master: 5 years, Doctorate: 6 years).
• Current NY State employee with one year permanent service as Building Construction Program Manager 1 (for promotion candidates).

• Manage medium-sized and complex new building construction, rehabilitation, and renovation projects for NY facilities.
• Supervise consultant contracts and review consultant projects.
• Assist higher-level staff with more complex projects.
