Job summary

New York State Office of General Services seeks a seasoned professional to manage medium-sized and complex construction, rehabilitation, and renovation projects across state facilities from Albany. The role requires extensive multi-trade construction experience and the ability to manage multiple projects, with licensing and degree substitutions as noted.

Qualifications

• Seven years of experience in multi-trade building construction with two years managing multiple projects.
• Experience in at least three of: construction planning, trade coordination, cost estimating, project scheduling, material purchasing, resource management, or document interpretation.
• Valid New York State Driver's License or demonstrated ability to meet transportation needs.
• Relevant degree may substitute for experience (Associate degree: 2 years; Bachelor's: 4 years; Master's: 5 years; Doctorate: 6 years).
• Resume must include month/year for all start and end dates with average hours per week if less than full-time.

Responsibilities

• Manage medium-sized and complex new building construction, rehabilitation, and renovation projects.
• Review projects and perform supervisory duties.
• Assist with complex projects under higher-level staff and monitor consultant contracts.
• Travel throughout the state (approx. 50%) to oversee sites.
