Job summary

ECS Group of Companies is seeking a Building & Code Compliance Inspection Supervisor in the United States to oversee third-party inspections across mechanical, electrical, architectural, and life-safety systems. You will lead staff, review reports, coordinate with contractors and officials, and ensure adherence to building codes.

You will mentor junior staff, manage scheduling and training, participate in business development, and promote safety culture while delivering high-quality code

Qualifications

• Ten years of related inspection experience.
• Must hold multiple ICC commercial inspection certifications.
• IBC Building Codes knowledge required.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication.
• Detail-oriented and well organized.

Responsibilities

• Perform third party electrical, mechanical, architectural, structural, plumbing, and life safety building inspections
• Perform plan reviews and provide code interpretations to contractors, engineers, and architects
• Prepare and submit daily time and Inspection/Field Reports in accordance with ECS Policy
• Demonstrate extensive knowledge of applicable building codes
• Lead and mentor junior staff, supporting their development
• Manage code services scheduling operations and staffing
• Attend project site meetings and assist with problem resolution
