Job summary

ECS Group of Companies, a leading engineering consulting firm, is seeking a Building Inspector in the United States (SC) to perform third-party inspections across mechanical, electrical, plumbing, architectural, structural, and fire safety systems. You will prepare daily field reports and ensure compliance with ECS policies while supporting project management and client development.

Qualifications

Requires knowledge of state and local building code regulations and procedures.
Experience inspecting mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
Drive may be required for ECS subsidiaries; a valid driver's license is required.

Responsibilities

Perform third party electrical, mechanical, architectural, structural, plumbing, and fire safety building inspections.
Prepare and submit daily time and Inspection/Field Reports per ECS policy.
Demonstrate extensive knowledge of building code regulations and procedures.
Manage code compliance projects including reviewing plans, providing technical support, and attending site meetings.
Mentor and train other building inspectors.
Assist with management of P & L, market ECS services, develop client interactions, and participate in marketing and business development functions.
