Job summary

Stark Tech is seeking a Building Automation Technician to configure and test complex control systems for commercial facilities. You will load and commission controllers across system and network levels, validate performance, and troubleshoot issues in collaboration with project management and engineering teams.

You will also contribute to creating as-built drawings and software while delivering tailored training to owners or operators on the complete building control system.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year experience with Building Automation Controls Systems, especially Schneider Electric, SmartStruxure, Space Logic, I/A, Andover Continuum, and/or Tridium Niagara R2/AX/N4.
• Two years experience with mechanical and/or electrical engineering systems.
• Demonstrated knowledge of the construction or HVAC industry.
• Basic networking knowledge.
• Demonstrated knowledge of control theory, automatic temperature controls, building automation systems and other building systems.
• Demonstrated experience in the integration of low voltage building sub-systems using various industry protocols (e.g., LON, BacNet).
• Ability to communicate with customers and coworkers regarding inspection and service findings.

Responsibilities

• Configure and test complex building automation systems to meet contract specs.
• Develop and test essential software programs; load and Commission controllers across system and network levels.
• Validate system functionality and troubleshoot for peak performance.
• Collaborate with project management and engineering teams.
• Create as-built drawings and software; deliver tailored owner/operator training on the complete building control system.
