Job summary

Disney Entertainment & ESPN Product & Technology is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for the Build Tooling Software team in New York, onsite four days a week. You will develop and support infrastructure, tools, and shared libraries used by thousands of engineers to deliver software quickly and safely.

You will work hands-on with build, release, deployment, CI/CD, cloud infrastructure, containers, and developer tooling while collaborating with application teams to improve the delivery

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience.
• Proficiency in Python, Java, C, C++, or C#.
• Familiarity with Bash and PowerShell scripting.
• Experience with CI/CD workflows and version control.
• Proficiency with CI/CD tools: GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, TeamCity, Jenkins, Argo, SonarQube.
• Strong Linux knowledge and AWS core services (EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch).
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes including Helm.
• Infrastructure as Code with Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Ability to collaborate with remote teams; strong communication.
• BA/BS in CS or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with software engineers to achieve shared goals.
• Build and maintain software that abstracts build, release, and deployment events.
• Understand needs of thousands of developers and improve their delivery experience.
• Work with application teams to implement CI/CD best practices.
• Lead development of critical features and ensure user needs are met.
• Support build systems and artifact storage used across the organization.
• Participate in on-call rotations to support production incidents.
• Contribute to continuous improvements in tooling and delivery processes.
