Job summary

Alten USA is seeking a Senior Build Systems & Software Robustification Engineer to lead the build, toolchain, and quality infrastructure for a large-scale C++ robotics platform. You will ensure reproducible builds, robust sanitizers, and comprehensive traceability across the development lifecycle.

The role requires deep expertise in CMake/Bazel, modern CI/CD, and cross‑compilation in production environments, with on‑site work in North Reading or Woburn, MA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in CS, software engineering, EE, or related field.
• Extensive experience designing and maintaining C++ build systems.
• Deep expertise in static analysis, sanitizers, and reproducible builds.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and cross-compilation.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and own the build system architecture and toolchain for a large-scale C++ robotics stack.
• Develop and maintain build infrastructure with CMake and Bazel.
• Establish software quality tooling including static analysis and sanitizers.
• Enable reproducible production builds and historical rebuilds.
• Improve CI/CD reliability, test signal quality, and debugging workflows.
• Drive artifact management and version traceability.
• Collaborate across software, robotics, infrastructure, and systems teams to apply best practices.
