Job summary

DoorDash seeks a Senior Software Engineer for the Code Scalability team to own and improve the build and CI platform across DoorDash's scale. You will shape Bazel configurations, tooling, and integrations that keep monorepos fast and reliable while driving measurable improvements in developer productivity.

You will collaborate across teams, lead design decisions, and guide rollout from concept to production, mentoring teammates and reducing latency, failures, and debugging time across the CI

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience, including developer infrastructure, build systems, or CI platforms.
• Proficient in production-grade software with debugging and design skills.
• Experience with large-scale build/CI systems and monorepos is highly relevant.

Responsibilities

• Evolve build and CI workflows for large monorepos, ensuring fast feedback as dependencies grow.
• Develop Bazel rules, toolchains, and integrations to make builds reproducible across teams.
• Improve Buildkite throughput and reliability by reducing queue times and bottlenecks.
• Reduce redundant work via dependency analysis, caching, and parallel execution.
• Build developer tools that diagnose build failures and reproduce CI locally.
• Drive AI-enabled improvements for diagnosis, PR triage, and automated recovery.
• Instrument and operate CI infrastructure, tracking latency, reliability, and resource usage.
• Lead platform improvements from design through rollout and mentor teammates.
