Job summary

Relativity Space in Long Beach, California, is seeking a Senior Build Reliability Engineer for the 2nd shift (3pm–1:30am PT), with a baseline 50-hour week and a 10% shift differential. You will help build the Terran R rocket by embedding reliability into design, manufacturing, test, and launch activities from day one.

You will drive design standardization, inspect planning, and in-process verification while collaborating with Engineering, Additive, Manufacturing, and Launch teams to meet program

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering or STEM field; 5+ years as a Quality Engineer in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Experience interfacing with design engineering, manufacturing, production and test personnel.
• In-depth knowledge of aerospace manufacturing and quality processes/controls.
• Familiarity with PLM, MES, ERP and QMS software and GD&T.
• Ability to solve a wide range of problems and coordinate across multiple teams.
• Strong communication and ability to present to team leaders and management.

Responsibilities

• Design: standardization of drawings, DFM and configuration management.
• Planning: review work instructions, develop processes, document reparations.
• Manufacturing: in-process build verification and coordination of travelled work.
• Drive quality initiatives for Terran R; develop specs, checklists, and automate inspections.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Additive, Manufacturing, Test and Launch teams to meet objectives.
