Job summary

Prince George’s County Fire/EMS Department in Largo, MD is seeking a Budget Management Analyst IV to support operations within the Fiscal Affairs Division. The role involves advanced budget development and administration, working with independence within department policies and regulations.

The position oversees procurements, invoicing, and financial analysis projects, with emphasis on cost-effectiveness and accurate revenue crediting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a closely related field.
• Three (3) years of progressively responsible administrative and budgeting experience; including at least one (1) year in a lead/supervisory role.
• Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered; however, there is no substitution for the required supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all Fire/EMS Department procurements and payments comply with applicable policies and procedures.
• Oversee invoicing of all activities and proper crediting of revenue to the County.
• Lead budgetary, planning, programming and management analyses projects.
• Represent the Department/Agency in meetings with other departments and outside agencies.

Education

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Accounting, Business/Public Management, Finance, Economics, Quantitative Analyses, or closely related field.
