Job summary

Prince George's County Government’s Department of Family Services seeks a Budget Management Analyst III to support budgetary functions across major program areas within the Management Services Division. The role includes complex budget analyses, reconciliations, and potential team leadership under supervision.

The department serves vulnerable communities and emphasizes accountability, efficiency, and data-driven decision making.

Qualifications

Associate’s degree from an accredited college or university in Accounting, Business/Public Management, Finance, Economics, Quantitative Analyses, or closely related field.
One (1) year of experience providing paraprofessional support to an accounting or budget office performing budgetary or financial recordkeeping.

Responsibilities

Performs the full range of budgetary/management analyses duties and responsibilities.
Serves as liaison between Office of Management and Budget and assigned departments and agencies for all aspects of budget preparation, review, and administration.
Prepares written and oral presentations describing requested budgets of assigned programs and services.
Participates in budgetary meetings with agency representatives, senior budget staff, and Council members and staff.
Uses automated data systems and other sources to monitor agency expenditure patterns and prepare projections of future expenditures.
