Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business administration, economics or a closely related field; AND, six (6) years of experience in budgetary, accounting, or financial analysis.

Responsibilities

• Oversee financial activities for multiple departments; ensure budgeting aligns with legal parameters and long-term fiscal solvency.
• Advise staff on strategic financial issues and develop budget proposals aligned with county goals.
• Provide business and financial consulting on budget, accounting, financing and risk management.
• Negotiate with department and council staff to devise solutions for complex financial issues.
• Develop financial models for revenue, expenses and fund balance trends; set internal service fund rates.
