The City of Manhattan seeks a Finance Manager to supervise budgeting and accounting activities, supporting the CFO, City Treasurer, and City Controller. The role oversees the annual budget, capital program, and financial reporting, ensuring compliance with GAAP and internal controls.

Responsibilities include coordinating budget development, producing monthly/quarterly/annual financial reports, and guiding staff through accounting procedures.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or another related field.
• Five years of closely related work experience in governmental accounting or 6 years related work experience and supervisory experience.
• Master’s degree in finance, accounting, or another related field.

Responsabilidades

• Coordinates and develops the annual City Budget and Capital Improvement Program; analyzes and makes recommendations.
• Prepares forecasts and financial reports; ensures all financial policies and controls are implemented.
• Assists with staff and supervisory tasks as needed.
• Performs additional duties as required, attends meetings and training.
