Responsibilities

• Reviews, edits, and consolidates annual and multi-year budget estimates for assigned organizations and program into an annual budget proposal.
• Prepares or edits narrative justifications and projected funding needs and ensures data in requests are formally documented in a wide variety of formats and reports.
• Analyzes and forecasts operational budget for the facility and for changes in nature, type and cost of services produced.
• Monitors the execution of a budget with funding from multiple sources such as multi-year appropriations, transfers, reimbursements, and trust accounts.
• Reviews obligations, manages Fund Control Points (FCP), and prepares various reports timely.
• Supervises VHSO Budget section employees; plans work, sets priorities, and assigns tasks.
• Develops performance standards and conducts performance evaluations.
• Gives advice, counsel, and instruction to employees on work and administrative matters.
• Conducts special studies and analysis to develop data for reporting purposes and prepares administrative reports for actions required by leadership.
