Job summary

Center for Family Services in Voorhees Township, NJ is seeking an experienced Senior Budget Analyst to oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis across programs. You will track revenue and expenses monthly at the fund source level and use accounting tools to ensure accuracy and timeliness.

The role requires collaboration with the AVP of Finance and program supervisors to develop and monitor budgets, improve processes, and provide excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field preferred, will consider equivalent experience
• 3-5 years of experience working with budgets and expense reports
• Experience with Microsoft Office software; intermediate to advanced Excel experience with large data sets
• Demonstrated experience managing sensitive and confidential information with a high level of discretion
• Excellent writing and communication skills; ability to convey complex information in a straightforward and professional manner
• Knowledge of Blackbaud Accounting software a plus

Responsibilities

• Supports management through timely and accurate financial tracking, reporting and analysis
• Prepares and monitors financial forecasts to ensure expenditures stay within budget
• Records and classifies transactions; reconciles accounts and prepares journal entries
• Assists in fiscal policy development and implementation
• Identifies process improvements and implements solutions; manages time effectively
• Ensures confidentiality and ethical handling of data in all interactions
• Reconciles general ledger and performs funding allocation modifications as needed
• Prepares budget vs. actual variance analyses
