Job summary

MLT Systems in Stafford, VA seeks a Budget Analyst III to support DoD acquisition programs with expert budget planning and analysis. The role reports to the Lead for Financial Management and requires experience with CERBERUS, DAI, and PBIS in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include creating SPIDs, maintaining funding records, and preparing financial briefs and exhibits while ensuring accurate financial data across systems. Active Secret clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in business or related field is preferred.
• 8 years of relevant work experience in public or private sector business/financial management, technical analysis, or logistic support analysis.
• Active Secret Security Clearance required.
• This position is not eligible for remote work or 100% telework.
• Familiarity with DAI, CERBERUS, DARQ, PBIS, and related financial systems.

Responsibilities

• Identifies, analyzes, and resolves a wide range of budgetary challenges.
• Develops alternative funding strategies and methods.
• Formulates detailed budget estimates for programs with changing objectives, processes, staffing, and funding.
• Develops and administers budget execution plans for industrially funded activities, managing reprogramming actions in response to fluctuating revenue and service demands.
• Applies GAAP and adheres to DoD, DON, and USMC financial policies.
• Create SPIDs in CERBERUS according to program spend plans; update SPIDs as requirements change; ensure linkage with DAI and reflect financial data accurately.
• Identify and remediate daily discrepancies between Power BI, DAI, and CERBERUS.
• Prepare funding records for DARQ review; route funding documents in DAI and upload to MAO system.
• Monitor PoP and delivery dates to initiate de-obligation actions; post de-commitments correctly.
• Attend financial meetings and assist in preparing briefings, POM, and Budget Exhibits.
• Reconcile discrepancies in DAI; develop, draft, and consolidate reports using DAI iProcurement, PBIS, and CERBERUS tools.
