The Senior Budget Analyst leads Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) support activities for a federal civilian agency's information technology investment portfolio. This position owns the development of annual IT budget requests, programming justifications, multi-year financial plans, and execution tracking, while responding to recurring and ad hoc financial data calls from the Department, the Office of Management and Budget (OMB), and internal budget offices.
The Senior Budget Analyst brings proven PPBE and Congressional Budget Justification expertise and may provide technical mentorship to junior financial staff supporting the same portfolio.
Strong analytical thinking, financial modeling, and budget formulation skills, with sound business judgment and attention to detail. Must demonstrate the ability to manage multiple concurrent budget cycles and data calls, mentor junior staff, communicate effectively with government stakeholders, and consistently deliver accurate, well-organized work products under tight federal deadlines.
This position operates in a professional office environment at a client site in Washington, DC. Work is primarily performed indoors with artificial lighting and requires prolonged periods of sitting and computer use, with occasional standing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting of standard office materials. Contractor personnel must maintain secure remote access capabilities to support continuity of operations during inclement weather or facility closures.
