Job summary

AMD is seeking a strategic software optimization lead to improve the performance of key applications and benchmarks across the Chromium stack. You will join a core team of行业 specialists and work with the latest hardware and software technology to deliver measurable user-visible gains.

You will focus on low-level performance analysis, system-level optimization, and collaborate with browser, OS, and silicon teams to drive optimizations across Windows and other platforms.

Qualifications

• Experience optimizing real-world browser performance in Chromium-based browsers.
• Strong understanding of rendering, JavaScript engines, or graphics.
• Experience with low-level profiling and tracing tools.
• Proven contributions to large open-source projects is a plus.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s in CS/CE or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Profile and optimize Chromium subsystems such as Blink, V8, Skia, and GPU.
• Identify bottlenecks using real workloads and field telemetry.
• Implement performance improvements for page load, rendering, and JavaScript execution.
• Collaborate with browser vendors, OS teams, and hardware partners.
• Translate findings into scalable browser improvements.
• Contribute patches upstream to Chromium projects.
• Document investigations and communicate findings to stakeholders.
