Job summary

Coinbase, Inc. is looking for a Senior Associate in Broker Dealer Operations to strengthen the operational engine supporting the U.S. equities brokerage business.

You will own complex workflows, perform end-to-end reconciliations, and drive improvements in controls, tooling, and automation across multiple partner teams. You will collaborate with Apex, Engineering, Product, and Risk to translate requirements into durable solutions, while maintaining audit-ready documentation and robust processes.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in financial services operations, broker-dealer operations, or related control functions.
• Experience with U.S. equities trade lifecycle (order processing, settlement, positions, cash movements, corporate actions, transfers).
• Ability to author or improve SOPs, runbooks, controls documentation, or audit materials.

Responsibilities

• Own recurring broker-dealer operations workflows across areas like reconciliations, corporate actions, transfers, account maintenance, error processing, and regulatory reporting support.
• Perform daily reconciliations of orders, trades, positions, balances, and cash between Coinbase and Apex; investigate breaks and drive resolution.
• Manage complex exceptions and incidents by coordinating remediation across internal and external teams, prioritizing based on impact.
• Build and maintain audit-ready documentation (SOPs, runbooks, control checklists, process maps) for durable controls.
• Partner with Product and Engineering to define requirements, test functionality, validate launches, and improve tooling and dashboards.
• Identify systemic failures and lead process-improvement initiatives to reduce manual work and boost resilience.
