Job summary

The Senior Director role at the National Basketball Association leads the Broadcast Platform & Systems Support Engineering team, driving reliability and evolution of the NBA’s mission-critical broadcast platforms. This role oversees video, audio, IP networking, signal distribution, intercom, and cloud-based systems while shaping long-term platform strategy.

You will mentor engineers, collaborate with vendors, and partner with Production & Broadcast Ops to evaluate new production models,

Qualifications

10+ years in broadcast engineering or media tech with leadership
Degree in Communications/Engineering or related field
Significant relevant experience may substitute for degree

Responsibilities

Lead the Broadcast Platform & Systems Support Engineering team and provide advanced technical support
Drive root cause analysis and platform reliability improvements
Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to ensure performance of master control and signal distribution
Partner with Production & Broadcast Ops to implement cloud-based and remote workflows
Mentor engineers and guide infrastructure upgrades for scalable solutions
Own HSAN and other critical transmission infrastructure
Manage lifecycle and roadmap for broadcast platform infrastructure
Participate in rotating on-call support schedule for emergencies
