Job summary
FOX News Media is seeking a Senior Staff Broadcast Network Engineer in NY to design, implement, and administer highly resilient networks supporting live broadcast workflows. Qualifications
- Design and implement large-scale mission-critical networks.
- Troubleshoot complex problems and deliver innovative solutions.
- Knowledge of SMPTE ST 2110 standards.
Responsibilities
- Architecture/Engineering responsibilities: gather current configuration, assess risks, propose alternatives; design new technologies to improve security and performance; work with SDN to transport live content over high-bandwidth IP networks; manage projects and report progress; collaborate with vendors to test and integrate new tech.
- Operational responsibilities: network capacity planning, performance assessment, troubleshooting; collaborate across teams to resolve service-impacting issues; track, report, and deploy firmware/software updates on switching gear.
- Create and maintain up-to-date documentation detailing deployed configurations and network environment.
