Job summary

The Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) invites applications for a Broadcast Engineer to deliver high-quality live, hybrid and recorded events across in-house and external venues. You’ll set up, operate and maintain a range of broadcast and AV equipment, ensuring professional delivery for diverse audiences.

You’ll work with clients and partners, troubleshoot issues in fast-paced environments and help push the boundaries of broadcast and streaming technology while embracing hybrid

Qualifications

• Experience in broadcast engineering for live events and hybrid/remote delivery.
• Proficiency with broadcast cameras, vision mixers, audio, lighting, and streaming encoders.
• Strong knowledge of streaming protocols (RTMP, RTSP, SRT, NDI) and IP networking.
• Experience with Adobe Premiere Pro and Photoshop is advantageous.
• Excellent communication with clients and production partners.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate and maintain broadcast and AV equipment for live, hybrid and recorded events.
• Manage audio, video and streaming workflows during live events.
• Collaborate with clients, colleagues and third-party suppliers to ensure delivery.
• Monitor broadcast quality and resolve technical issues quickly.
• Record and manage event footage and ISO recordings; prepare footage for handover.
