Job summary

Vyve Broadband is seeking a Broadband Network Technician (BT IV-V) to lead advanced maintenance, repair, and optimization of the HFC network for neighborhoods. You’ll guide junior techs, restore service during outages, and proactively uphold plant reliability with hands-on diagnostics.

You will work outdoors in all weather, use RF, AC/DC, and optical techs, and document work while mentoring peers. Vyve supports growth, training, and a stable field-work career with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• BT IV certification or equivalent field experience.
• 6+ months as Broadband Technician III or related field experience.
• Ability to splice coax and fiber optic cable.
• Proficiency with signal meters, spectrum analyzers, OTDRs, volt-ohm meters and leak detectors.
• Strong understanding of HFC and IP networks.
• Experience reading system maps and schematics.
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather, on ladders, in confined spaces, and during on-call rotations.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced troubleshooting and repair of the HFC network.
• Optimize network performance through node balancing and calibration.
• Monitor signal leakage and ensure FCC/local compliance.
• Maintain documentation and perform scheduled maintenance.
• Mentor lower-tier technicians on field best practices and customer service.
• Support outage restoration with clear communications to teams and dispatch.
• Record and submit job logs using mobile devices or work order systems.
