Job summary

Vyve Broadband is seeking a Broadband Network Technician (BT IV-V) to lead field diagnostics, repair, and optimization of the HFC network, while guiding junior technicians and ensuring uptime during outages.

The role requires BT IV certification or equivalent, 6+ months in a similar tech role, ability to splice coax/fiber, and comfort working outdoors and on ladders. Growth opportunities, training, and competitive benefits are included.

Qualifications

• BT IV certification or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum 6 months as Broadband Technician III or equivalent field experience.
• Ability to splice coax and fiber optic cable.
• Proficiency with measurement and testing tools (meters, OTDRs, spectrum analyzers).
• HFC and IP network understanding; reading system maps and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced troubleshooting and repair of the HFC network (RF, AC, DC, optical).
• Optimize network performance through node balancing, alignment, and signal calibration.
• Monitor and mitigate signal leakage; ensure FCC and local compliance.
• Maintain documentation and scheduled maintenance on standby power supplies.
• Lead or mentor lower-tier technicians on field best practices and customer service.
• Support outage restoration with clear communications to teams and dispatch.
• Maintain and safely operate a company vehicle and equipment.
• Record and submit job logs using mobile devices or work order systems.
