Moffatt & Nichol seeks a Senior Bridge and Transportation Structures Engineer to lead advanced structural projects across Florida. You will manage design, analysis, rehabilitation, and peer reviews, while guiding junior staff and maintaining client relationships.

The role requires a Florida PE, 18+ years in structural/bridge engineering, and a track record of business development and standards setting. Office locations in Central or North Florida support a broad transportation portfolio.

Formación

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field is required.
Master's degree in Civil, Structural, or related field preferred.
Professional Engineer (PE) license in Florida required.
18+ years of experience with management and technical leadership of structural and bridge engineering projects, including 10+ years building client relationships, managing proposals, and interfacing with subconsultants; required.
Extensive, diversified knowledge of structural engineering principles and methods as applied to bridge design, analysis, load rating, and rehabilitation; recognized for innovation in structural design methodology and emerging technical areas.
Working knowledge of AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Specifications and related bridge design and inspection standards.
Advanced judgment and creativity in solving unprecedented problems affecting the organization or industry.
Active participation in professional associations (e.g., ASCE, AASHTO committees, or equivalent).

Responsabilidades

Create and maintain client relationships, acting as the primary interface between Moffatt & Nichol, clients, and subconsultants across the state of Florida, and manage subconsultants directly.
Set the strategy and support business development for assigned office(s) - preparing and submitting proposals and building client relationships that generate new transportation structures scope and program expansion.
Establish standards and design approach for the structural analysis of bridges and related structures using cast-in-place/prestressed concrete, steel, and timber.
Lead structural design, analysis, and peer review for new bridge construction, rehabilitation, and widening projects, overseeing the design work of other engineers on assigned projects.
Provide load rating and inspection-support engineering across a wide range of bridge types, applying AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Specifications and related standards.
Set internal and industry standards for bridge engineering technical approaches and methods, guiding technology adoption and technical tool strategy across the discipline.
Monitor and report on project scope and budget, ensuring deliverables maintain the agreed project schedule, and review and approve all deliverables prior to client submission.
Actively train and develop junior engineering staff, and serve as a subject matter expert and technical resource across the organization, helping build the next generation of structural engineering technical leaders.
