Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an experienced Transportation Project Manager to lead complex bridge and transportation infrastructure projects in Michigan and Ohio, partnering with public-sector clients to deliver mission-critical outcomes.

You will oversee multidisciplinary teams, mentor staff, and drive business development while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and client satisfaction. This role supports a hybrid work model across Midwest offices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• PE license in Michigan or Ohio, or ability to obtain through comity.
• Experience leading transportation infrastructure projects with bridges and structures in Michigan and/or Ohio.
• Proven track record managing budgets, schedules, and client expectations.
• Experience with state and local transportation agencies, including DOT clients in Michigan and/or Ohio.

Responsibilities

• Manage transportation and bridge infrastructure projects from pursuit through delivery.
• Lead project teams to deliver quality work on schedule and within budget.
• Develop scopes, budgets, work plans, contracts, and project execution strategies.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and subconsultants across all phases of project delivery.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to state DOTs, counties, municipalities, and transportation agencies.
• Build and strengthen client relationships while identifying and pursuing new opportunities.
• Support proposal development, interviews, and strategic business development efforts.
• Mentor and develop project engineers and technical staff.
• Ensure project compliance with client requirements, DOT standards, and industry best practices.
