Job summary

Jacobs seeks an experienced Transportation Project Manager to lead complex bridge and transportation infrastructure projects across Michigan and Ohio, coordinating with public-sector clients and multidisciplinary teams for delivering impactful programs.

You will drive delivery from pursuit through completion, balancing technical leadership, client engagement, and business development in a dynamic Midwest setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering is required.
• Professional Engineer license in Michigan or Ohio or ability to obtain through comity.
• Experience managing transportation infrastructure projects focused on bridges/structures in Michigan and/or Ohio.
• Proven track record leading project teams, managing budgets, schedules, and client expectations.
• Experience with state/local transportation agencies/DOT clients in MI and/or OH.
• Strong knowledge of bridge design, rehabilitation, and project delivery.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Active involvement in professional organizations.

Responsibilities

• Manage transportation and bridge projects from pursuit through delivery.
• Lead project teams to deliver quality work on schedule and within budget.
• Develop scopes, budgets, work plans, contracts, and execution strategies.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and subconsultants across all phases.
• Serve as advisor to state DOTs, counties, municipalities, and transportation agencies.
• Build and strengthen client relationships and pursue new opportunities.
• Support proposal development, interviews, and strategic business development.
• Mentor and develop project engineers and staff.
• Ensure compliance with client requirements, DOT standards, and best practices.
