Job summary

Felsburg Holt & Ullevig is seeking a senior-level structures engineer for the Great Plains region. The role offers leadership opportunities on a broad range of transportation design projects across the Midwest, including roadway and rail structures.

The selected candidate will also serve as a Project Manager on upcoming pursuits and act as a primary client contact. The ideal candidate will have 10–15 years of bridge/structural design experience and strong knowledge of AASHTO standards, with

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil/transportation engineering with emphasis on bridge and structural design.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum ten to fifteen years’ experience as a bridge or structural design engineer.
• Advanced experience using structural analysis and design software.
• Experience with AASHTO standards and procedures; bridges in Nebraska, Iowa and South Dakota a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead bridge and structural design projects, from small drainage structures to large multi-span bridges.
• Serve as senior project engineer and designated client contact; participate in client meetings and presentations.
• Support construction projects by reviewing submittals, answering RFIs, and conducting field visits for contract compliance.
