Job summary

TYLin in New Jersey seeks a Senior Bridge Engineer to lead critical bridge projects from planning to construction. You will manage sub-tasks on large projects or lead mid-size efforts as Project Manager, delivering cost-effective, innovative bridge solutions for local agencies and design-build clients.

You will perform advanced structural analysis, seismic design, and develop plans, specifications and reports while directing CAD production and ensuring quality control.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil/structural engineering required; Master's preferred.
• Professional Engineering License (PE) in NJ, NY or PA.
• At least 7+ years of structural design experience in bridges and related structures.
• Ability to perform advanced structural analysis and designs; familiarity with CSI Bridge is a plus.
• Experience with AASHTO, NJDOT, PennDOT and NJTA design standards is preferred.
• Strong writing, drawing, calculations and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform design and analysis of complex concrete and steel bridge structures; long span experience is a plus.
• Lead project tasks from planning through construction and completion.
• Coordinate CAD production, drawings, specs and engineering calculations.
• Conduct quality control and independent reviews of designs.
• Interface with civil engineers for complete project plans and documentation.
