Job summary

SuYash Consulting, LLC in Columbia, MD seeks a Structural Engineering Project Manager with a BS in Civil Engineering (Structural) to lead and grow the Structural Division, overseeing scope, schedule, and budgets on bridge projects.

The role involves performing structural analysis with Midas, AASHTOWare, STAAD, Conspan, and AutoCAD/MicroStation tasks; mentoring staff; coordinating proposals and client presentations; and managing multi-discipline teams on MD DOT and related state projects.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited BS in Civil Engineering with a Structural focus.
• Maryland Professional Engineer license.
• 10+ years of structural design and bridge inspection experience.
• 5+ years with MDOT SHA/MDTA highway design or MD Design-Build projects.
• Proficient with MS Office and MicroStation; experience with bridge software.
• Experience with MDOT-SHA, MDOT-MTA, MDTA, WMATA, VDOT, DDOT, WVDOH or AMTRAK preferred.
• Strong communication and leadership for PM and BD duties.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis of bridge systems using Midas, STAAD, and similar tools.
• Assist and check design calculations performed by others.
• Develop structural details and construction plans using MicroStation or AutoCAD.
• Prepare layouts, specs, and quantity calculations for bridge repair projects.
• Conduct bridge and structure inspections and prepare inspection reports.
• Mentor junior staff and train project teams.
• Prepare and monitor schedules, budgets, and invoices; manage resources.
• Develop project scope and coordinate multidisciplinary tasks.
• Support client presentations and development of proposals.
