Job summary

Metro Associates is seeking a Transportation Bridge Project Manager to lead bridge design and rehabilitation projects from concept through final design and construction support. You will coordinate with DOTs, agencies, and clients to deliver high-impact transportation solutions and ensure quality outcomes.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in bridge design and project management, a civil engineering degree, and PE eligibility.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Civil Engineering; Master’s preferred.
• 7+ years in transportation bridge design engineering and project management.
• PE license preferred or ability to obtain.
• Proficiency with MS Office, MicroStation, STAAD and Bridge Design Software.
• Experience managing bridge design projects from design through delivery.
• Familiarity with NYSDOT design standards preferred.
• Strong client relations and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, design, and delivery of bridge projects.
• Manage budgets, scope, schedule, and staffing for timely delivery.
• Lead design strategy with teams/clients for alignment.
• Ensure compliance with regulations, permitting requirements, and quality standards.
• Identify project risks and implement proactive mitigations.
• Serve as primary contact for clients, agencies, and stakeholders
• Cultivate and strengthen client relationships to support repeat business.
• Oversee project billing, updates, QA/QC, and closeout.
• Support proposal development, scope definition, and fee estimates for new and existing clients.
• Mentor and develop junior staff.
