Job summary

Mott MacDonald is seeking a Senior Bridge Project Manager to lead bridge and civil-structure projects across transportation sectors in North America. You will manage design, field investigations, quantity calculations, and construction cost estimation while delivering safe, durable structures.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering (master’s preferred), PE licensure in IL/WV/OH or ability to obtain within six months, and 10+ years of bridge design experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, or equivalent, a master’s in structural engineering preferred.
• SE license is required for IL, WV, or OH or ability to obtain licensure within 6 months
• Certification as a registered professional engineer (PE) in Ohio, West Virginia, or Illinois is required
• At least 10+ years of professional experience in bridge design or structural design in transportation or highways project
• Experience working on structural bridge design projects in Ohio, West Virginia, or Illinois
• Exposure to other structural projects is a plus
• Familiarity with AutoDesk and Bentley products, and bridge design software such as LARSA, SAP 2000, STAAD Pro, OpenBridge, CsiBridge, MIDAS, AASHTOWARE Bridge Rating, and MDX

Responsibilities

• Manage bridge design and plan development
• Field investigations, inspections, and repair recommendations
• Type studies, structural designs, preliminary through detailed, including quantity calculation and construction cost estimating, load rating, construction monitoring, expert opinions related to bridges, civil structures and other structures
• Involved in business development, managing your own transportation and infrastructure projects and taking a forward‑facing role with the client
