Job summary

Colliers Engineering & Design in Buffalo, NY seeks a Senior Project Engineer to join the Bridges & Structures team. Lead technical design on bridge projects and mentor staff within a full-spectrum service offering from scoping to final design.

The ideal candidate has a civil engineering background with 10+ years of bridge/structure design, NY P.E. licensure, and proficiency in AutoCAD Civil3D or MicroStation. Competitive compensation and a robust benefits package accompany this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering is required; master's degree is a plus.
• 10+ years of professional design engineering work related to bridges or structures is required.
• PE license in New York State (or through reciprocity) is required.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil3D and/or MicroStation is a plus.
• Knowledge of NYSDOT, AASHTO and AREMA design codes a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical design and assigned staff on bridge projects.

• Perform cost estimating, develop specifications/construction documents, and lead construction phase support tasks.

• Serve as a point of contact for clients, other design professionals, and contractors.
• Act as quality coordinator for discipline led projects.
• Assist in the development of technical narratives, scope and fee for project pursuits.
• May stamp/sign drawings or reports and/or serve as Engineer of Record for the project.

Overview

Colliers Engineering & Design is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to join our growing Bridges & Structure's team in Buffalo, NY!

Our bridge experts partner with our clients to understand project objectives, while formulating solutions that result in successful outcomes that are safe, efficient, economical and sensitive to the environment. This highly skilled team of professionals offers a full range of bridge services from scoping, planning and preliminary engineering through final design, for small to large scale bridges.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical design and assigned staff on bridge projects.
• Develop work plans for bridge designs while coordinating with other disciplines.
• Perform cost estimating, develop specifications/construction documents, and lead construction phase support tasks.

Compensation: $91,105 to $124,400 per year (depending on qualifications)
