Job summary

The role involves coordinating with the Bridge Management Office and consultants, performing rigorous inspections, ensuring safety protocols, and maintaining HMMS/EAMS records; long hours and field travel may be required.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma and six years of bridge inspection related work experience.
• Valid driver's license is required.
• Ability to perform field inspections and prepare reports in line with NBIS.
• Knowledge of bridge inspection standards and safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Bridge Inspection Team Supervisor or act as DBIS when needed.
• Plan, program, and coordinate the bridge safety inspection program statewide.
• Perform inspections of substructures and superstructures for defects.
• Oversee district personnel, QC/OA on inspections, and prepare reports.
• Enter daily reports in HMMS and EAMS; track bridge statuses.
• Train inspectors in use of tools and safety practices; support emergencies.
