David Evans and Associates, Inc. is seeking a Bridge/Structural Engineer in Salt Lake City, UT, to design and analyze bridges and related structures using AASHTO LRFD and DOT standards.

The role requires PE licensure in Utah and a strong background in seismic design, inspections, and project coordination. The Denver/Utah-based Bridges and Structures Practice offers opportunities to lead projects, develop calculations, drawings, and specifications while collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil/structural engineering required.
• PE license in Utah required or ability to obtain within one year.
• Minimum 8 years of bridge and seismic design experience.
• Proficiency in bridge design software and related analysis tools.
• Experience with AASHTO LRFD and DOT design standards.

Responsabilités

• Organize information for project documents.
• Assist or lead bridge projects by creating concept reports and type selection reports.
• Assist or lead bridge rehabilitation and preservation projects.
• Develop engineering calculations using spreadsheets and design software.
• Develop engineering drawing details for bridges and structures.
• Develop project specifications.
• Develop quantity and cost estimates.
• Review contractor submittals during construction.
• Perform condition inspections of existing bridges.
• Generate and edit bridge inspection reports.
• Manage execution of work within allocated budget.
• Ensure work meets schedule and quality standards.
