  • Coordinate closely with highway and traffic design leads to deliver integrated transportation solutions
  • Develop and monitor project budgets, schedules, staffing plans, and resource allocation
  • Ensure projects adhere to internal and client‑specific QA/QC standards and procedures
  • Provide technical leadership in bridge design, structural analysis, and constructability reviews
  • Maintain strong client relationships and support business development efforts for Vermont transportation projects
  • Collaborate with regional teams across New England to support project delivery and worksharing opportunities
  • Assist in positioning the firm for future VTrans on‑call contracts and strategic bridge pursuits
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with a concentration in Structural Engineering

  • 15+ years of progressive bridge design experience, preferably with Vermont bridge projects (New Hampshire or Maine experience will also be considered)
  • Strong experience managing bridge projects for state DOTs and municipal clients

  • Experience with bridge design software including MathCAD, LEAP Steel/Concrete, Midas Civil, BrR, and MicroStation and/or AutoCAD
  • Proven ability to manage complex projects with multiple schedules, stakeholders, and delivery phases
  • Strong leadership, communication, and client management skills
  • Ability to travel approximately 5–10% throughout Vermont, New Hampshire, and Maine

This is a hybrid role, offering the best of both worlds—collaborate in‑office with a high‑performing team and enjoy the flexibility of working remotely part of the week. We’re committed to supporting work‑life balance while maintaining strong team connection and project delivery.
