Job summary

STV Incorporated in Virginia is seeking an experienced Senior Bridge Engineer/Project Manager to lead high-profile bridge projects within the Virginia Transportation Group in Richmond, VA, with flexibility for nearby locations. You will manage planning, design, construction support, and closeout, while engaging clients and public stakeholders.

You will mentor engineers, shape project delivery strategies, ensure compliance with standards, and contribute to proposals and growth of a respected,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering is required.
• Professional Engineer license in Virginia is required.
• Minimum of 8 years in structural design for highway bridges.
• Strong background in highway, pedestrian bridges and retaining walls.
• Experience with structural analysis and bridge design software.
• Familiarity with VDOT standards, processes, and project delivery.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Technical Lead and/or Project Manager on diverse bridge projects.
• Lead projects from planning to closeout with quality, schedule, and budget in mind.
• Act as primary client-facing representative with agencies and stakeholders.
• Develop project scopes, schedules, costs, and specifications.
• Mentor and develop engineers and technicians for future leaders.
• Review and approve plans ensuring standards and permitting compliance.
• Contribute to business development, proposals, and technical write-ups.
