Rinker Design Associates, a DRMP company, Powered by Trilon (RDA), is seeking a Senior Bridge Engineer, P.E. to lead transportation projects. You will design bridges and related structures, mentor junior engineers, and coordinate with clients and teams to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.

Qualified applicants hold a VA P.E. license or can obtain reciprocity, with 8–15 years of bridge experience. The role offers a $10,000 sign-on bonus and competitive benefits, with offices in multiple Virginia

Qualifications

• B.S. Degree in Civil Engineering with structures focus.
• P.E. license currently active in Virginia, or ability to obtain licensure via reciprocity/comity.
• 8–15 years of experience in public sector transportation bridge work and other transportation-related structures.
• MicroStation experience preferred.
• Experience on VDOT projects preferred.
• Understanding of VDOT standards and design criteria preferred.
• Self-motivated with entrepreneurial spirit.
• Expertise in bridge and structure designs using MDX, Desus? Descus, Staad-Pro, LARSA, and Conspan.

Responsibilities

• Lead and design structural designs for bridges, retaining walls, and other transportation structures.
• Develop structural calculations, drawings, and alternative solutions with technical analysis.
• Collaborate with clients and multi-disciplinary teams to deliver projects on time and on budget.
• Provide technical support during construction, including RFIs and shop drawing reviews.
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers to foster learning and collaboration.
• Drive innovation with new technologies and sustainable design practices.
• Engage clients and contribute to proposals and project pursuits.
