Job summary

Jacobs Northwest is seeking a seasoned Bridge Engineer to lead transportation structure design across the Northwest and nationwide. Based in Boise, ID or Spokane, WA, you will guide multidisciplinary teams through conceptual to final design, with emphasis on safety, standards, and efficient delivery.

You will mentor junior engineers, manage multiple tasks, and contribute to proposals. The role embraces Jacobs’ hybrid work policy, balancing office and field activities across projects nationwide.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Civil Engineering from ABET-accredited program.
• Professional Engineer license (Idaho preferred).
• 8–15 years of progressive structural engineering experience in transportation structures.

Responsibilities

• Lead transportation structure design and construction projects from concept to construction.
• Prepare drawings, specifications, and cost estimates; supervise junior engineers.
• Coordinate design activities with Jacobs teams and subcontractors; support business development.
