About the Job:

GPI is seeking a full-time Senior Structural Engineer for our New England branch based in Wilmington or Boston, MA, Medford, Salem, or Portsmouth, NH. We offer flexible work schedules, allowing a mix of office and remote work. This role offers significant career growth opportunities, with responsibilities spanning multiple project types including bridges for NHDOT and other agencies, structural design, rehabilitation, and repair projects.

Responsibilities:

• Lead project design and engineering from conception to completion, including proposal prep, design, and construction documents.
• Support expansion of engineering operations and market outreach.
• Maintain and strengthen client relationships through proactive communication.
• Prepare calculations, design documents, and specifications for public bidding.
• Mentor junior staff and develop contract and bid documents.
• Review design criteria, perform calculations, and ensure quality assurance.
• Participate in meetings, site visits, and develop cost estimates.
• Provide strategic leadership for the department and mentorship for team leaders.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's in Structural or Civil Engineering; Master's preferred.
• PE licensure in NH required.
• 10+ years experience in bridge engineering design and management.
• Experience with bridge load rating, software tools (AutoCAD, AASHTOWare, Bentley Open Bridge, etc.), and familiarity with industry standards.
• Strong communication, leadership, and team collaboration skills.
• Experience with NHDOT projects and the federal aid process is a plus.
