CHA Consulting, Inc. is seeking a Senior Bridge Engineer to join our Bridge Team as a technical leader and mentor in Columbus, OH; Cleveland, OH; or Indianapolis, IN. This is your opportunity to drive cutting‑edge design, guide project execution, and make a lasting impact across diverse transportation initiatives.

What You'll Do:

• Lead the technical execution of complex engineering designs, technical reports, and specifications for bridge infrastructure.
• Provide expert consultation and resolve highly complex technical issues in various areas of bridge and transportation engineering, such as bridge design and accelerated bridge construction (ABC).
• Lead advanced technical projects, collaborating with other engineering departments and project management staff to deliver sustainable solutions.
• Develop and manage discipline work plans aligned with project milestones, ensuring projects are completed within budget and scheduling restraints.
• Guide and mentor junior engineering staff, including providing technical reviews and support.
• Deliver technical development of proposals and external presentations to clients, public, and regulatory agencies.

What You Bring:

• Bachelor's Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering required.
• Minimum of 10 years progressive engineering experience required; bridge experience desired.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• ODOT or INDOT experience preferred.
• Expert knowledge of the respective engineering discipline with a proven ability to apply best practices.
• Advanced proficiency with engineering, computational, and modeling software (Revit, AutoCAD, MicroStation, etc.).
• Strong understanding of QA/QC procedures, business practices, and engineering laws.
• Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Participation in professional engineering societies/organizations preferred.

Salary Range:

$120,000 - $140,000

Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards.
